Zaktan is the mysterious, frightening leader of the Piraka, whose three-bladed scissor tool can be used as a sword or to cut through virtually any substance.

Zaktan is very intelligent, but almost an alien intelligence. He is distant, manipulative, dishonest, secretive, sadistic, he is the only one who knows the true secret of the virus. His body is made up of a swarm of microscopic creatures called protodites, each of whom contains a part of his consciousness. He has laser vision.
