 Deep in the swamp, a war rages between mutated members of the Brotherhood of Makuta and three Toa Nuva, along with allies from both sides.
Battling with elemental energies and strange weapons, those Matoran who have witnessed the fights have dubbed the combatants "Mistika" – a Matoran word for "spirits of the mist."
Tahu, Gali, and Onua, the last 3 remaining Toa Nuva, have traveled to the dark swamp of Karda Nui in search of the Mask of Life. What they have found is insectoid members of the Brotherhood of Makuta determined to defeat them! During a running battle, above and in the swamp, the Toa discover a strange metal chamber in the bottom of a great stalagmite. Inside, they find new and powerful vehicles and the secret to awakening Mata Nui from his long sleep. But they also learn a devastating secret: anything living in the core when the Great Spirit awakens will be destroyed. Now the Toa Nuva must find a way to complete their mission while saving the lives of the Matoran villagers of Karda Nui.
But will their efforts lead to the ultimate salvation of the universe... or ultimate disaster? |
