 Glatorian is the term for the fighters in the world of Bara Magna (image source: story map.jpg). Each of them is linked to his own element (fire, ice, water, jungle, rock and earth). Elemental powers make the fighters very different from each other.They are hired by the Agori (means villagers) to fight for scarce resources. They live separately from the villages in compounds of their own, where they train constantly. Glatorian all meet once per year in the village of Atero for a single tournament that determines the best fighter on Bara Magna.
To avoid devastating wars, the Agori rely on Glatorian to battle on their behalf and settle disputes over territory and resources. At times, some Agori even join the Glatorian in the arena, using their shields to block attacks and aid their chosen fighter.
